Dancing by Herself
7:04:00 AM
Hi wurld :) It's been so long since I've blogged. No one is gunna read this but I still feel the need to update, in case in a few decades time I want to know what I thought in my naive mind.

I'm sleepy and curled up in bed now. And my duvet is so warm and comfortable I could stay in here forever. It's winter here in the UK and the first snow has fallen. I really can't wait to go back home. Another 9 more days and I'll be back in the sweltering heat! It feels so fast though. But it also feels I've been in Concord my whole life. I love being a senior.

Yesterday was Tina's birthday and we had a party for her last night. Disco was fun too with more people than usual. Probably because it's the last one before exams. Ugh exams.

Oh well. A few more days and it'll be all over :) Then it's summer in the NZ for me!

Teenage Billionaire
5:49:00 AM
Okay I am really supposed to be studying right now cos Saturday tests are literally less than 12 hours away, but today Antonia said something during maths that made me think about this place and all the happy (and not so happy) times I had typing in this small rectangular box :) (And yea, I'm sure Ton will be reading this after I tell her that I blogged :) )

It's been three weeks at Concord aka Land of all that is Mundane, but it feels like 3 months. Two Saturday discos have come and gone, and another Saturday test awaits our joyous asses at 9am tomorrow morning. Dining hall food sucks as usual, and supper is not much to look forward to after an hour of prep. The only consolation is living in Paul House. :) I want to find Paul and marry him. "But won't he be all old and wrinkly?" says Charles the Great. Yea kay I will find his grandson.

The memories of summer are fading away, prob because it's been so long since I've seen a bitchface (aka you guys ;)). The only thing that really stands out is *drumroll* YOG :) :) :) I miss scanning the crowd looking for GreedGod834 and Mariano and Stepko and all the rest, so me and Sap would be able to take a polaroid with them. I miss watching the events and holding my breath everytime Oldham does a flip on the highbar or Mariano goes on vault. I also miss running after (aka stalking) the handballers so as to take pictures with them. Heck, I even miss standing in the blazing sun for 5 hours just so we could get tickets. It's for a good cause innit ;) Charity for my eyes.

If I write more about YOG I think I will soon slip into withdrawal mode.

Stood out also are the omegle nights. "You scared of ghost ah?!" "Bishan is 10 stops away from Tampines." "Bunny fashion."
And also generally spending time with the wonderful people at home.

I ain't homesick though. Yay me! :)
Sick of Concord food though.
I want char kuay teow. And ban mian. And nasi lemak.

Aww you too cute!

HEY YA'LL!
Oh wow I haven't blogged in the longest longest time have I? I drank three cups of coffee today so I'm a bit caffeinated now.

Wow 6 weeks of summer has passed so fast! Granted, one week I was in LDN (watching my boy Nick J), one week I was down with dengue (sucked the life outta me), and I've been working for the past two weeks. After internship ends I have 2-3 weeks of freedom before we all head back to the world of sheep and A levels and shit like that. But I can honestly say that even though I do not want it to come fast, I am looking forward to going back and seeing everyone again. I'll miss the 6.2s, (Alisa, Karolis, Max, etc...) and it's kind of hard to believe that after only 6 months, I'm now a "J2" student :)

Work has been fun so far. This week has been more lively, what with the new interns, who are all from UK universities. Or more specifically, UK universities that are my actual choices! UCL LSE Kings QM Nottingham... Of course there are the Oxford and Cambridge riffraff but I'm not going to go into that ;) I am definitely going to miss these people after internship.
Fave quote so far
A: "So you are rising what?"
B: "Rising 2nd."
A: "Right...
sorry what does rising 2nd mean again?"
Hahaha this is what we learn from Singapore unis. Apparently "rising 2nd" means going into 2nd year this autumn. So all the UK/(in Ahana's case, IB) peeps were like, ...huh?

So I haven't had much time to meet up with the lovely bitches (oxymoron) because of work and school and shit. But those times we had, we certainly had a lot of fun and I would choose you guys over you-know-who-I-mean any day.
Really.
Serious!

Malaysia this weekend! Fun fun fun...

Okay I really should at least try to get some sleep now. Going to court tomorrow!

You ain't fooling me twice before
7:16:00 AM

HI I AM BACK FROM THE WORLD OF NORMAL.

Wow this must be the longest I've gone voluntarily without a post. Twitter is really killing the art of blogging.

Right now it's 12.40am and I'm quite sleepy. Went to Sunday Market today and ate the yummiest strawberries ever.

Okay I'm too sleepy now so...

Law class with Mr Wyper! :) I have videos of him ;)

Les Mis in London! It was so fun I loved it so much I swear I'm watching it again.

AND LOOK! @allthatgibber would love this. IT'S A PINK FREAKING LIMO. Spotted in LDN of course. I went :O when I saw it.

And of course, after all that, I still miss you babe, ...

Rip Your Hair Off
8:25:00 PM
I have a free now so I'm blogging even though I'm not supposed to be.

Exams are in exactly a week. This is AS exams, mind you. Which means they determine which universities I will apply to and they will give me offers/reject me because of it. Shit I'm scared.

Idk whether to drop Law next year or not, and take AS Further Maths.

Okay enough of the school shit.

I am not really looking forward to summer holidays. I'd be working most of the time in some firm and even thinking about it makes me nervous, and also a bit bored. It's all fast track from here on. AS - work experience - uni applications - LNAT - accept/rejection - A levels. I am so not looking forward. I wish time would just stop and let me chill for a bit.

On the brighter side, Graduation Ball for 6.2s was last Saturday. I went for the disco after registration. I'm glad I did cos it was fun. Good to let loose for a while.
I know I've said it before but I'll say it again. You DO NOT need alcohol to have a good time. It's a psychological problem you have. You don't even need to be high, why can't you just be sober and have a good time?

I'm starting to sound very boring and mediocre. Okay I shall stop now :)
Loves!

Poor me a heavy dose of atmosphere
12:50:00 AM

I'll send a postcard to you dear
Cos I wish you were here

I don't know why I feel so homesick today, even though it's my first day back in CC. I miss my bed and my room and my parents and my house and my friends. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to say goodbye to everyone.

Phone conversation-
Shu: [Minding her own business at home and not thinking about going back at all]
Dad: "Shuk Yee and Evelyn are on their way to the airport NOW. You have fifteen minutes to pack"
Shu: "WHAT?!"

So I panicked and rushed to pack and leave.

Took the first flight to Paris. Got stuck in Paris because Eurostar was booked and flights to UK were still cancelled. Cut a long story short, after queuing and walking/asking around for hours we booked a room in Sheraton hotel, prepared to stay overnight. I was damn excited because, DUDE, IT'S PARIS! I really really wanted to go to the Eiffel tower and eat Frenchie food. Anyway, thank goodness for the hotel room because I was able to bathe and to have a (very) quick nap before going out to lunch (at 3pm). Unfortunately for me, we then had a flight at 8.45pm that night. So, no staying in Paris and no Eiffel tower :( We paid full price for the hotel room too. Sucks. And then there was the problem with the overweight baggages. We Singaporeans have been spoilt by SIA because SIA always closes one eye and lets our bags be overweight. British Airways? Niao like crazy. Shuk Yee and I ran the whole floor trying to fit stuff into different bags and ended up buying a new suitcase in order to avoid overweight costs.
Lesson learnt?
I LOVE YOU SINGAPORE AIRLINES.

But Paris was cool. They have these awesome travellators that not only go forward and backward, but up and down and side and above and across floors like a bridge. I'm serious it is super cool. Like there was one really long one that was like a hill.

And French accents? Makes my heart melt everytime. (But not when women talk, they sound very bitchy)

It was the first time people actually said "Excuse moi?" and "Bonjour" and "Merci" to me without even pretending to be French. Heart!

Anyways. Got back to CC at 11pm and had to unpack and stuff but all I really wanted to do was crawl into bed and wake up back in Singapore.

I am missing Sg more than anything now and I really think I am homesick, maybe cos I left in such a hurry so I wasn't prepared.

I love you all

Gone Going Gone
3:25:00 AM
That space beside Janael is mine.

I love you guys.

I can't wait to go back. There are three more days before I hit Singapore soil and I am seriously wanting it to come real fast. Going back seems so surreal to me. Looking at the same buildings and same trees and shivering everytime I leave my dorm is long past its appeal date. It's no longer a want to go back home; it's a need.

I wasted a Sunday, as usual. I was either supposed to pack or to study. But I did neither.
